Orientation

Welcome to Star Trek Nexus Orientation. This section will introduce you to some basic concepts of Star Trek Nexus.

The text in Star Trek Nexus will always be WHITE, except the various titles, which will be an orange-yellow or white like the texts. The links will always be purple, except for the purple and cyan section borders explained below.

The rest of the page is composed of three parts: the title, body, and footer.

Title

The title bar is also a toolbar that contains frequently accessed options. It is delimited by purple bar on the left and bottom, in an imitation of Star Trek LCARS interface. The titlebar is composed of the following sections

Star Trek Nexus Logo

The jump menu    (requires javascript)

Section/Topic Title
[Aabout Nexus] [Help and FAQ]
This is this the section title and subsection title of the page.

Body

The body contains the stuff you came for: links, and more links, but these comes with descriptions, something you usually don't find at other Trek sites!

Any way, for quick jumps within the Star Trek Nexus, there are two navbars

The Top NavBar allows you to navigate among the six primary areas of the Star Trek Nexus: the four quadrants, plus center and extra-galactic. The current area is underlined in yellow/orange, such as the [About Nexus] button below. The double up arrow will take you back to the Nexus Center.

The second NavBar allows you to browse within the primary areas for subtopics. The current topic is underlined as well.

There may be sub-NavBars within a particular topic.

This is a typical
link entry.

It contains the title of the link, the actual link, the owner, ratings if rated, location if known, framed or not, and short descriptions and comments.

These are some of the typical buttons that you'll see:

[Next] Go to Some Place [Prev] Go to Some Place

All will show a comment that shows where does the button go.

Footer

The footer contains the disclaimer as well as link to the official Paramount homepage and my e-mail address link
